Puneet, Ajmer shine

ALIGARH: Half-centuries by Puneet Mehra and Ajmer Singh guided Delhi University to a two-wicket victory over Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar) in the semifinals of the North Zone inter-university cricket tournament here on Thursday.

In the final, Delhi will take on host Aligarh Muslim University.

Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar 183 in 64.1 overs (Buta Singh 45, Chandrapal Saini five for 51 lost to Delhi University 185 for eight in 78.3 overs (Puneet Mehra 54, Ajmer Singh 52, Navdeep Singh five for 69).
