Permission for transfer of defence land given


HMDA releases

1.97 crore towards compensation for 1968 sq. yards


HYDERABAD: The Ministry of Defence and local military authorities have granted working permission and transfer of 1967.992 square yards of defence land in the Military Hospital, Golconda premises to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority for construction of flyover at Langer Houz. The HMDA in a statement issued here on Thursday informed that it has released a sum of Rs. 1,96,79,920 towards compensation for the land to Defence Estates Officer, A.P. Circle, Secunderabad Cantonment.

On handing over of this land, the HMDA will take up the approach ramp of the flyover on left hand side after laying of service road.

A new compound wall to the Military Hospital costing around Rs.16 lakh will also be constructed by the HMDA and a further amount of Rs.1 lakh will be compensated to Local Military Authorities towards cables shifting.
