Insurance firm to provide jobs

VISAKHAPATNAM: AEGON Religare Life Insurance on Thursday opened its new branch in the city which will provide employment to over 500 residents of Visakhapatnam. The new branch is located at the Land Mark Building in Waltair Uplands on Travellers Bunglow Road.

Speaking at the inauguration of the branch, Mr Rajiv Jamkhedkar, CEO, AEGON Religare Life Insurance said, “Visakhapatnam is an important city for the growth of AEGON Religare Life Insurance. Visakhapatnam has a high potential for retail growth and AEGON Religare Life Insurance sees a big opportunity in this growing market. We have committed our resources to help the people of Visakhapatnam plan their life better. We are also committed towards creation of employment in Visakhapatnam. In the first year of our operations, we plan to recruit over 500 agents and managers.”

The company will offer its customers quality products, customer service and financial advice to its customers. This is backed by the very best technology and systems to deliver the company’s products and services. In an industry first, the customers’ medical report will be included in the policy kit.

The company is also the first company to offer policy servicing on the phone via IVR by issuing the customer a T-Pin for authentication.

AEGON Religare Life Insurance at present has over 7,700 customers and over Rs.10.8 crores in new business premium.

The company was the result of the coming together of AEGON, one of the world’s largest life insurance and pension groups and Religare, one of India’s leading integrated financial services groups.

The company launched its pan-India multi-channel operations in August, 2008 with over 30 branches spread across India.

Currently, it has a network of 48 branches across 39 cities.
