NEW DELHI: A 28-year-old man has been arrested for alleged involvement in several cases of auto-theft. Nine stolen two-wheelers have allegedly been seized. Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap near Tagore Garden Metro railway station this past Monday and arrested Harish. He worked as a recovery agent for a bank and allegedly took to crime after being dismissed from the job a year ago. He would steal two-wheelers and sell them off at throwaway prices, the police said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
