Prerna triumphs

GURGAON: Unseeded Prerna Bhambri pipped second seed Melis Sezer of Turkey 7-5, 7-5 in the girls’ final of the ITF Grade IV junior tennis tournament, here on Friday.

The boys’ title went to second seed Kaza Vinayak Sharma who tamed compatriot Srikar Alla for the loss of six games.

The results (all finals): U-18 boys: Kaza Vinayak Sharma bt Srikar Alla 6-1, 7-5; Doubles: N. Sai Kartik & Naveen Sai bt S.V. Abhishek & Shahbaaz Khan 6-2, 6-1.
