VISAKHAPATNAM: Punjab and Rajasthan were in command over their rivals Vidarbha and Andhra respectively at the end of the third day of their four-day Cooch Behar trophy under-19 elite group matches here on Saturday. At the Zinc stadium, Kunwar Raina (154, 25x4) and Perry Goel (131, 25x4, 1x6) were involved in a 221-run opening stand as Punjab declared its first innings at 473 for six after gaining a first innings lead of 200 runs. Vidarbha was 41 for two at stumps. At the Port stadium, Andhra was fighting with its back to the wall at 259 for eight in reply to Rajasthan’s first innings total of 424. M. Ajay Kumar (51 batting) and B. Sudhakar (46 batting) were involved in an unbroken stand of 89 runs for the ninth wicket to lend respectability to Andhra innings.
