Stalin distributes appointment orders

CHENNAI: Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday presented orders to 108 persons appointed in Chennai Metrowater on compassionate grounds. Of the appointed persons, 100 have been chosen for the post of field worker, six for junior assistant and two for typist. Since 2007, 198 persons have been appointed in Metrowater on compassionate grounds.

Mr. Stalin also handed over keys of four sports utility vehicles to superintending engineers of Metrowater.

The vehicles were bought at a cost of Rs.23.4 lakh. G. Thenmozhi, Madurai Mayor, called on the Minister and showed him the certificate and the prize awarded to her by the Centre in view of the selection of the Madurai municipal corporation for implementation of projects under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
