Sriram sparkles

MARGAO: Andhra’s M.U.B. Sriram (87) helped his team score 253 for seven against Karnataka at the end of the first day’s play in the three-day South Zone under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy cricket tournament, here on Monday.

In another match, Goa was bundled out for 99 against Tamil Nadu in its first innings.

The scores: Goa 99 (Darshan Misal 47, Baba Gowtham three for 13, Aushik Srinivas three for 33) vs. Tamil Nadu 88 for one (Raj Gopalan Anand 36 batting, Baba Indrajith 50 batting).

Andhra 253 for seven (M.U.B. Sriram 87, Sk. M. Basha 41 batting) vs. Karnataka.
