HYDERABAD: Retired Supreme Court Judge, and former Chairman of Law Commission of India, Justice M. Jaganadha Rao will head a three-member committee to decide the dispute regarding the compensation payable to the South Central Railway (SCR) towards the land and structures taken over by the Municipal Corporation at Secunderabad area for road widening . A Division Bench of the A.P. High Court comprising Chief Justice A.R. Dave and Justice R. Subhash Reddy on Wednesday passed orders appointing the committee. This is pursuant to the understanding reached between the SCR and GHMC at the instance of the court . It is to arrive at the compensation payable to SCR in lieu of land and structures. The notification issued by the State government seeking to acquire land of the SCR for road widening was with drawn pursuant to the understanding and the land was handed over to GHMC. The other two members of the committee are SA Quadri former Chief engineer and Jagadishwar Reddy former senior GM of BHEL.
