SPECTA COLOUR: Children lighting lamps as part of Karthigai Deepam celebrations in Thanjavur on Thursday. This is a festival of lights, celebrated on the full moon day of Kaarthigai month which coincides with Krithikai star. It is also considered as an extension of Deepavali festival. —
