Tirupur: Eleven child labourers were rescued from various garment units by a team of officials from National Child Labour Project and Inspectorate of Factories during random inspection conducted in the city for over a week ending Thursday. In all, 53 textile and other industrial units were checked under the instructions of Collector V. Palanikumar. D. Vijayakumar, project director, NCLP, said that the children were rescued from units situated at Golden Nagar, M.S.Nagar, Pudukadu and on College road.
