Man killed in accident

Tirupur: A man was killed and two other injured when a carrier autorickshaw hit two motorbikes on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Subramanian (40), who was working in a textile unit here.

Syed Auous and his pillion rider, Thirupathi, were admitted to a hospital here with severe injuries.

The police said the autorickshaw first hit the bike ridden by Syed Auous and then lost control to knock down the oncoming two-wheeler driven by Subramanian.

The North police have registered a case against the auto driver.
