Analogics Tech India ties up with US firm

Hyderabad: Analogics Tech India Ltd. has tied up with the US-based Lumidigm, Inc. for manufacturing and marketing biometric finger printer sensors in the country.

Analogics would be able to integrate the best finger print sensors into its popular handheld computers to meet the requirements of various users in India, the company’s managing director Surender Reddy said in a press release.

The products with integrated Lumidigm sensors would be useful in national ID projects, rural banking, financial inclusion, voter ID, attendance/access control and so on. Dr. Matthew Ennis, vice-president of Business Development at Lumidigm, recently signed the partnership deal with Analogics. An ISO-9001:2000 company, Analogics is the largest manufacturer and supplier of handheld computers, wireless data communication and power distribution automation products.
