Accused in clash remanded

CHENNAI: Bharathi Kannan, one of the accused in the clash between students of two different communities on the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College campus here recently, has been remanded to judicial custody.

Kannan, who suffered injuries in the clash, was discharged from the Government General Hospital on Friday.

As the police had already registered a case against him and effected arrest in the hospital, he was lodged in the Saidapet Sub-Jail after obtaining necessary orders from the court, the police said.
