Bangalore: Tourism Malaysia will go all out to woo vacationers in tier-II and 3 cities such as Mysore, Mangalore and Hubli. Many of them may be first time travellers overseas and proximity with a flight less than four hours away, familiar climate and food could be attractions that Malaysia offers. “Tourism is the second largest foreign exchange earner for Malaysia. During January to November this year, there were 500,000 arrivals from India, a 30.1 per cent jump from last year,” Tourism Malaysia Director Zainuddin Abd Wahab told presspersons here on Friday. Indian tourists would get other freebies related to shopping, dining out and sightseeing, he said. — Special Correspondent © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
