Karnataka and Mumbai win

Bangalore: Pratik Manjrekar’s seven-wicket haul helped Mumbai defeat Assam by 127 runs in a Cooch Behar Trophy under-19 tournament match that concluded here on Saturday.

In Chennai, Maharashtra got the first lead innings lead over Tamil Nadu to garner three points.

Resuming its second innings at 103 for six on Saturday, Maharashtra finished at 164. Tamil Nadu, at close, in its second innings, was 32 for no loss.

Century in vain

At Visakhapatnam, D.B. Prasanth Kumar made a gallant century (101, 14x4) but Andhra lost by 101 runs to Karnataka on Saturday.

Set a target of 374 runs, Andhra finished at 272. Karnataka medium-pacer A. Mithun had a five-wicket haul.

At Bangalore: Mumbai 277 in 93.2 overs and 202 in 88.3 overs bt Assam 211 in 77.2 overs and 141 in 55.3 overs (Pratik Manjrekar seven for 49).

Haryana 351 in 125.3 overs and 204 for eight in 76.5 overs (Rajat Paliwal 71 n.o.) bt Himachal Pradesh 184 in 77.2 overs and 131 in 63.3 overs (Sumeet Verma 58).

At Chennai: Maharashtra 269 & 164 in 114 overs (Vishant More 33, Rohit Charan 48 not out, J. Joel Joseph three for 44, M. Kaushik Gandhi four for 38) drew with TN 153 & 32 for no loss.

At Visakhapatnam: Karnataka 466 and 103 for three decl. bt. Andhra 206 and 272 in 91.5 overs (D.B. Prasanath Kumar 101, M. Ajay Kumar 47, G. Chiranjeevi 37, A. Mithun five for 75).
