Boniface, Iska triumph

GURGAON: Shailender Boniface and Akshara Iska won the boys’ and girls’ titles in the National under-12 tennis championship here on Saturday.

Boniface beat Fatehdeep Singh 6-1, 6-2 in the final, while Akshara defeated Roma Chandiran 6-2, 6-1.

Roma, however, won the doubles title with Ojasvinee Singh.

The results (finals): Under-12 boys: Shailender Boniface bt Fatehdeep Singh 6-1, 6-2.

Under-12 girls: Singles: Akshara Iska bt Roma Chandiran 6-2, 6-1; Doubles: Ojasvinee Singh & Roma Chandiran bt Nayanika Devi Reddy & Akshara Iska 6-0, 7-6(6).
