Somaya scores thrice

NEW DELHI: Somaya Prakash scored three goals as Shaheed Bhagat Singh College trounced Ramlal Anand (Evening) College 6-0 in a first round match of the Zakir Husain memorial football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.

Dhruv Singhal (2) and Kanwal (1) netted the other goals for Bhagat Singh College.

In another match, host Zakir Husain P.G. (Evening) College defeated Ramlal Anand (Day) College 2-1. L. Kipgen struck twice for the winning team while Martyn Gangte shot home the only goal for the losing side.

Motilal Nehru College posted a 4-2 victory over Dayal Singh (Evening) College. Vivek Soni (2), Ajay Bartwal and Rohan Wagal were the scorers for Motilal. Danish’s brace helped Dayal Singh College give a tough fight. — Sports Reporter
