Subhajit, Poulomi top seedings

NEW DELHI: Former National men’s champion Subhajit Saha and reigning National women’s champion Poulomi Ghatak will head the seedings in the National-ranking table tennis tournament at the Punjabi Bagh Club here.

After Saturday’s qualifying rounds, the main draw matches in the men’s, women’s, youth boys’ and youth girls’ events will be played on Sunday.

The seedings (from Petroleum, unless stated):

Men: 1. Subhajit Saha, 2. Sourav Chakraborty (Rlys), 3. A. Amal Raj, 4. G. Sathiyan (TN), 5. Jubin Kumar, 6. Shubham Chakraborty, 7. R. Abhishek (Indian Bank) and 8. Anirban Nandy (Rlys).

Women: 1. Poulomi Ghatak, 2. K. Shamini, 3. Neha Aggarwal, 4. Madhurika Patkar, 5. Kasturi Chakraborty, 6. Sushmita Roy, 7. Anindita Chakraborty (Rlys) and 8. A. V. Nivedita (TN).
