Railway employees to seek PRP ticket

VIJAYAWADA: Railway employees are getting ready to contest on the Praja Rajyam Party ticket from 11 Assembly constituencies, Railway Mazdoor Union general secretary Taranikanti Srinivas has said.

He said railway employees would ask the PRP leadership to field railway employees from Vijayawada Central (Satyanarayanapuram), Nandigama (reserved), Bapatla (Guntur district) and Ramachandrapuram (East Godavari) constituencies. The decision was taken at the general body meeting here on Sunday. D. Eswara Rao was elected zonal working president, M. Sairam station branch secretary and M.V. Krishna Rao Railway Hospital branch convener a the meeting. Railway employees, their family members and well-wishers had the strength to elect three members to Lok Sabha and 15 members to State Assembly, he said.
