IPL transfer window put off by a week

Mumbai: The one-month transfer window for the Indian Premier League (IPL)’s eight franchises to buy and sell players, scheduled to start on Monday, has been put off by a week. The window has been rescheduled from December 22 to January 22, 2009. It has been done because the franchises wanted some more time to do their homework, said IPL’s Tournament Director, Dhiraj Malhotra. — PTI
