Girl commits suicide

NAHAN: A student from Punjab at a local dental institute allegedly committed suicide on Sunday and nine persons have been arrested in this connection, police said.

The girl, a third year student of Himachal Pradesh Institute of Dental Science, Poanta, allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her hostel room this evening, Poanta Deputy Superintendent of Police Virender Singh Thakur said.

Thakur said that on the basis of the “suicide note” of the girl, nine persons, including some teachers, have been arrested. - PTI
