Chain snatched

An unidentified person snatched away a 7-sovereign gold chain from a woman in South Gate police station limits on Satruday night.

Police said that when Parimalam (49) wife of Perumal of South Veli Street was walking alone down the road near her residence, an unidentified man followed her and forcibly snatched away the gold chain.

Despite some resistance, the robber pushed the victim and fled from the scene.

South Gate police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
