Sand-laden trucks seized

Pollachi: In a drive against licence violation resorted to by the sand-laden trucks, the revenue officials in Pollachi seized 18 sand-laden trucks.

Following complaints , revenue authorities launched a crackdown against sand-laden trucks from dawn to dusk on Saturday and Sunday.

The team led by Tahsildar R. Balasubramanian seized 18 trucks on charges of over loading, over speeding and violation of licence and permit conditions.
