Indian Bank, Tiruchi circle in association with Reserve Bank of India conducted a one-day camp in the city recently for exchange of soiled and mutilated currency notes for the benefit of the public. The camp, conducted at the Indian Bank’s Rockfort Branch, evoked a good response from the public and the traders. Soiled and cut notes worth Rs. 12.42 lakh were exchanged from 612 persons. In this camp, half value notes worth Rs. 14,465 were exchanged from the public. The Indian Bank has been conducting this camp every year, a release said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
