SENTOSA: Gaganjeet Bhullar’s sensational final day performance at the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open golf didn’t just ensure him full playing right on the Asian Tour next year but also earned him a ticket to this week’s season-ending Volvo Masters of Asia in Bangkok. Stunning finishBhullar produced a stunning final-round eight-under 64 to finish tied 11th and pip Australian Adam Groom by a mere $681 for the final spot. The result pushed him into the top-65 on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit which was needed to secure his card and a place at the Volvo Masters of Asia at the Thai Country Club. “The motivation of making into the top-65 kept me alive,” said Bhullar, who has earned $82,825 this season. Under pressureBhullar, who had entered the week in 67th place, said the pressure to perform was immense. He heaved a sigh of relief after the final scores were tabulated on Sunday. “It was quite a tense experience for me.”
