World AIDS Day rally

CHENNAI: Hope Foundation organised a rally as part of World AIDS Day here on Sunday. The rally, on the Marina Beach, was flagged off by actor Meena.

Rotaract Club members and students from various colleges, including MGR-Janaki College for Women and Queen Mary’s College, participated in it. They carried placards with messages on prevention of the disease rather than cure.

Over 30 children, many of them orphaned by AIDS, also participated in the rally that wound its way from Labour Statue to Gandhi Statue.
