TIRUCHENGODE: A man died when he accidentally fell into a deep pit in a stone quarry near here on Monday.

Police said the deceased was identified as Rangasamy (50) of Siddhampalayam, a supervisor in the quarry.

He was standing near the pit when the incident took place. He died on the spot. A case was registered and further investigation is on.
