KOCHI: The Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation will take up a survey to finalise the number of physically-challenged persons in the State ahead of a planned special package. In the past three months, the corporation has distributed aids to the tune of Rs. 2.4 crore in the State, said Uzhavoor Vijayan, chairman of the corporation. Units for constructing aids will be started in all districts. The work on units at Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kannur and Kasaragod is almost over. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
