Lodge sealed

The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday sealed the premises of a private lodge located opposite the Egmore railway station for letting out sewage into stormwater drains.

On Tuesday, the Corporation also served notices on 20 buildings, including eateries and lodges, in the same area for letting out sewage into the drains. Mayor M. Subramanian, who inspected the locality, said that the buildings would have to get sewer connections within 48 hours.
