Man detained

A row over the incident where an Iraqi journalist hurled shoes at U.S. President George Bush went out of hand, resulting in the detention of a factory employee by the Audugodi police here on Tuesday. A police officer, under the condition of anonymity, said the man was detained on the basis of oral complaints by his colleagues. “His colleagues alleged that he strongly defended terror-related activities and Additional Commissioner of Police M.R. Pujar and officers went to the factory and detained him,” he said.
