Vazquez replaces Mancini

BUENOS AIRES: Modesto Vazquez was named Argentina’s Davis Cup captain on Tuesday, 20 years after his previous stint.

Vazquez was chosen ahead of the legendary Guillermo Vilas and Martin Jaite to replace Alberto Mancini, who resigned after Argentina lost the final to Spain at Mar del Plata. — AP
