Official attacked

ARIYALUR: A Village Administrative Officer, Ganesan, was allegedly attacked by a group of residents of Kandarathithan village panchayat near Tirumanur on Tuesday.

Irked by the omission of names of a few persons in the list prepared for flood relief, the group attacked him, , police said.

The Tirumanur police have registered a case.
