Continuing power cuts flayed

Protest: Former MLA S. Austin, State deputy secretary of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam addressing a fast in Virudhunagar on Wednesday.

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Cadres of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam staged a day-long fast pressing to set right the bad condition of roads in the district, here on Wednesday.

The party State deputy secretary and former MLA, S. Austin, addressed the protestors. The agitators also flayed the “continuing” power cuts in the district and against the increasing prices of essential commodities.

The party district secretary, N.D. Raja, was present.
