JAIPUR: An international conference beginning here on Friday will discuss efficient management of natural resources in agriculture. About 150 scientists from India and abroad are expected to provide inputs on the subject for the benefit of farmers and agriculturists. The two-day conference is being organised jointly by the Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, and the Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM) Society. Technical sessions of the conference will be held at the Agricultural Research Centre, Durgapura, on the outskirts of Jaipur. Agricultural economist S.S. Acharya will inaugurate the conference. A voluntary organisation, Kisan Evum Gauseva Sangh, will be felicitated for promoting organic manure with high phosphate contents. Agricultural Research Centre’s Regional Director S.M. Bhatnagar said the event would provide up-to-date information about sustainable agricultural production and environment protection. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
