Bhimsen Joshi to be honoured

Belgaum: The Arts Circle, Belgavi, will be honouring, in absentia, Hindustani classical vocalist Pandit Bhimsen Joshi following his selection for the Bharat Ratna at a function at the Gogte College auditorium in Tilakwadi on Saturday at 5.30 p.m. It will be inaugurated by well-known harmonium exponent from Belgaum and Karnataka Sangeet Vidwan Pandit R.K. Bijapure. A video documentary directed by noted poet and film director Gulzar will be screened as a tribute.
