Punjab in command

KOLKATA: Punjab took control of the four-day Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy (under-22) final against Mumbai at the Eden Gardens here on Friday.

After having posted 308 in its first innings, Punjab captured seven Mumbai batsmen for 78 runs by close on the second day.

The scores: Punjab 308 (Sarul Kanwar 117, Gaurav Gambhir 48 (not out), M. Hussain five for 78) vs Mumbai 78 for seven. — Special Correspondent
