LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati will address a social brotherhood rally in Chennai on December 22. As the name of the rally (‘Samajik Bhaichara Banao Mahasammellan’) suggests, she is determined to expand her party’s base in Tamil Nadu ahead of next year’s Lok Sabha elections.

An official Press release issued here on Saturday said the rally would serve as a medium for her to inform the public about the party’s ideology and programme. She will also explain how poverty and unemployment had increased under the governments of the Congress, the BJP and their allies.
