Tex Tech Show focuses on value additions

KARUR: A three-day textile machineries and accessories exhibition, Tex Tech Show, got under way here on Friday. District Collector J. Umamaheswari declared open the exhibition the main focus of which was on value addition of made ups and other products.

Of the 102 stalls in which machineries and accessories were displayed over 80 per cent pertained to value addition aspects. Standouts were those on flock printing, hand made crochettes, various types and designs of lazes, automatic spreaders and folders, steam irons and washing range, finishing equipment, fire retardants and fleece fabric machinery.

On display

Also on display were beads, zippers, labels, velcro, packing materials, yarns, threads, dyes, chemicals, non-woven, needles, rayon viscos threads, stain-removing oil in the accessories section. Sewing machines, embroidery machines, needle detector, water purifier and many other machinery were also on display.

President of the Karur Textile Forum M. Sivakkannan presided over the inaugural in which the Deputy Director of Textiles Committee, V. Velmurugan, president of the Karur Textile Manufacturer Exporters’ Association, V. Kumar, president of Weaving and Knitting Factory Owners’ Association P. Ramasamy, president of the Export Cloth Manufacturers’ Association R. Kaliappan, and others participated.

H. Krishna and M. Mahendran, Managing Directors of City Leaves Media Events that promoted the Tex Tech Show, coordinated the function.
