Held for throwing shoes at U.S. Embassy

CHENNAI: Royapettah police arrested one person for throwing footwear at the American Embassy here on Saturday night.

According to the police, Abdul Rahman (30), who was driving past the embassy around 11.45 p.m. stopped his two-wheeler, removed his pair of shoes and threw them at the embassy.

Caught by security staff

He was caught by the embassy security staff and later handed over to the police.
