DRO distributes sewing machines

ERODE: District Revenue Officer M. Mayakrishnan on Monday gave away sewing machines to 12 persons.

A release from the district administration says he gave away the machines, worth Rs. 33,000, to the beneficiaries,

selected by the Backward, Most Backward and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.

At the weekly grievance day, he received 262 petitions on education loan, old age pension and employment and 27 petitions seeking title deeds (pattas) and instructed officials concerned to look into the petitions, the release adds.
