after effect: Buses stranded at the Nizamabad RTC bus depot on Monday following the bandh call given by MRPS activists. ADILABAD: Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) activists were taken into custody by the police when they tried to block the flow of traffic on NH-7 near Dasnapur bridge demanding categorisation Bill be tabled in the current session of Parliament. The Mala Mahanadu, that is opposing the SC categorisation demand on the other hand staged a dharna in front of the district Collectorate warning the government of making any move for tabling the Bill. Mahabubnagar Correspondent adds: There was little or no response to the MRPS bandh call. No untoward incidents were reported. In the district headquarters town of Mahabubnagar, all the business establishments, petrol bunks, commercial banks and cinema theatres did their normal business. APSRTC operated their normal fleet. However, some of the educational institution in the town observed bandh. Meanwhile, the police took into custody several MRPS activists in the morning.
