Folk literature awards

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Janapada Academy has called for first editions of books on folk literature for awards for 2007 and 2008. Books on folk songs, prose, criticism and research, and folk collections published between January 1 and December 31 during the two years are eligible for the awards, according to an academy press release.

Four copies of books should be sent to the Registrar, Karnataka Janapada Academy, 2nd Floor, Kannada Bhavan, J.C. Road, Bangalore 560002 on or before January 15, 2009. For details, call 080-22215509. — Staff Report.
