Christmas always brings happiness and joy to everyone especially kids as it is the occasion to exchange gifts. This year Christmas brings double joy to the children in Puducherry for apart from celebrating at their houses and receiving gifts from near and dear ones, the kids can have more fun with games and gifts; many hotels in the union territory have made Christmas arrangements concentrating on kids, arranging various games and gifts for them. Hotel Sunway has arranged a grand kids carnival on 25th from 3 pm to 8 pm which includes a lot of fun and games including loop and ball, lucky throws, lucky dips, feed the clown, etc and other talent competitions. Santa will also appear in the middle of the party and give lot of gifts to all the kids. The food courts set up at the carnival will serve pastries, chats and noodles etc and many surprise gifts like TV, DVD players and bicycle for lucky winners at the talent show. Entry for the carnival is Rs 100 per person while the food served at the carnival and the games arranged are set at normal kids rates. Apart from the kids’ carnival, Hotel Sunway has also organised a grand buffet lunch and X Mas turkey dinner on 25th at op-en House, their 24-hour coffee shop, where people can walk in at Rs 449 per person. The Promenade, after a grand pre-Christmas kid’s carnival on this Sunday 21, has arranged a special Christmas Eve dinner with dance party and a special Christmas dinner on 25th which include stuffed turkey and a wide range of Christmas cakes and desserts. Ginger has organised a special lavish buffet dinner on the eve of Christmas where everyone can taste all cuisines at the spread. All the kids attending the party are certain to leave with special gifts. This arrangement costs Rs 350 per person. Christmas at Le Dupleix is more stylish with a free glass of champagne for all and surprise gifts for all kids attending the grand dinner on 24th and 25th. Christmas cakes are also available at their bakery. Hotel Atithi celebrates its first Christmas in Puducherry with a special Christmas dinner at their restaurant le boulevard. The unique dinner includes complementary beverages, snacks, roast turkey, yule pudding, cold meats, etc, all at Rs 499 per person. The poolside deck at the hotel plays a live band where entry is free for all. Anandha Inn has made the entire week of Christmas special with special buffet lunch and dinner from 24th to 31st. The spread includes 6 non vegetarian dishes and complementary beverages. On the Christmas Eve, X Mas carol singers will accompany the guests at dinner time and santa will surprise the guests with his sudden appearance and hand out gifts to all. Entry per adult is Rs 350 while kids between the age of 10 and 14 years can enjoy the buffet at Rs 175 each. The Asian House situated near the beach has a special DJ night on 24th and the menu includes X Mas special items and complementary beverages for all. Du Parc will be celebrating a melodious Christmas this year with a flutist and his live band entertaining the guests at the dinner on 24th and 25th. The lavish buffet spread includes the traditional roast turkey and a variety of desserts with complementary beverages and free gift hampers for all at Rs 999 per person. Hotel Mass has built a sweet smelling and delicious looking bread house in its lobby for this Christmas, not made of bricks and cement but of hard baked bread and cream. The hotel will also house a mini church at the entrance on Christmas with Jesus, mother Mary kept in it. The lavish buffet dinner on 24th and 25th that costs Rs 350 per person includes the roast turkey and numerous varieties of special Christmas cakes are also available at their bakery.
