Contract for Metro viaduct on Reach 4

BANGALORE: The Board of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) on Monday approved awarding several contracts, including construction of stations and an elevated track.

In its meeting held at New Delhi, the Board approved design and construction contract for the elevated viaduct work on Reach 4 (between K.R. Road and R.V. Road Terminal) to Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited, Bangalore, at a cost of Rs. 150.63 crore.

The contractor will construct the 3.5-km viaduct excluding the stations.

The contract for construction of boundary walls, roads, drains and other civil works at the Peenya Depot has been awarded to URC Construction Private Limited at a cost of Rs. 25.49 crore.

The IVRCL-CR18G Consortium has been awarded the contract for construction of two elevated metro stations at CMH Road and Byappanahalli on Reach 1 at a cost of Rs. 92.5 crore.

Contract for construction of two more elevated stations at Swami Vivekananda Road and Ulsoor on Reach 1 has been awarded to IVRCL Infrastructure at a cost of Rs. 75.77 crore, a press release said.
