BANGALORE: An armed gang murdered a 24-year-old security guard and allegedly made away with electronic gadgets worth Rs. 7 lakh from a showroom near Benaganahalli bridge on Monday The police said Gyan Sham Chetri (24), a native of Assam, was guarding the Sony showroom in Horizon Complex near Benaganahalli bridge. Three persons came early in the morning and allegedly attacked Chetri. He was hit on the head with rods and later stabbed. The three broke open the shutters of the showroom and made away with several electronic gadgets, including video camerasand DVD players. Passers-by called the K.R. Puram police. The police came to the showroom and found Chetri dead. The owner of the showroom, Pramod Agarwal, has filed a complaint. The police suspect that persons known to Chetri might be involved in the murder. The police have collected fingerprints and have sent to the Finger Print Bureau for analysis. MurderedA 23-year-old man was murdered by his friend and two others near M.S. Palya circle in Vidyaranyapura police station limits on Sunday night. The police said Viji, who was convicted in a case of theft, had given some money to his friend Shivu, who has also been convicted in the theft case. Viji is said to have scolded Shivu for not returning the money. An angry Shivu went along with Moses and Amjad and allegedly assaulted Viji. Passers-by found an injured Viji and informed the police.
