HYDERABAD: State police officials are probing the Hyderabad connection of Talha, a youngster picked up by Anti-Terrorist Squad of Mumbai at Nagpur on Monday. The youngster hailing from Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh, son of Maulana Amir Rashid Madni, was held while he was travelling in a Hyderabad-bound train. Police said Talha was picked up for questioning in connection with the recent Delhi serial bomb blasts. The youth reportedly told his interrogators that he used to work with a call centre in Hyderabad. Police sources said that the ATS was checking the background of Talha though they did not have any specific information about his complicity in any case. Sources said that they would probe if the arrested youngster had any links with the Azamgarh-connected terrorist module busted earlier in the city. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
