Vizag to meet Anantapur

VIJAYAWADA: Visakhapatnam defeated Chittoor 2-1, while Anantapur blanked Guntur 3-0 in the semifinals of the Andhra mini boys’ (u-14) hockey tournament held at Guntur on Monday. The final will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Easy for President’s XI

Chidambareswara Rao’s 100 helped ACA President’s XI beat ACA Secretary’s XI by 105 runs in the ACA u-25 inter-district cricket tournament held at Guntur on Monday.

Vineet Singh of President’s XI claimed six for 21.

The scores: President’s XI 263 for nine in 50 overs (Chidambareswara Rao 100, M. Dinesh 40, B. Bhuvan four for 49) bt Secretary’s XI 158 in 47 overs (Vineet Singh six for 21).

Ranjit, Supriya triumph

Warangal’s M. Ranjit (661 points) and Nizamabad’s Supriya (596 points) won the overall individual championship in the Indian round of the AP sub-junior inter-district archery championship at IGMC Stadium here on Monday.
