Classic CC in last four

VISAKHAPATNAM: Classic CC and Good Friends CC entered the semifinals of the 23rd D. Sekhar Rao memorial cricket tournament at the Shipyard College ground here on Monday.

Ispat CC edged out Vizag Veterans by two runs and Moon Star defeated Visakhapatnam Cricket Club by 83 runs in Sunday’s quarterfinals.

Semifinal line-up: Good Friends CC vs. Classic CC and Ispat CC vs. Moon Star CC

The scores: Colts CC 148 for eight in 30 overs (Hari 42, Anand 33, Sai Prasad 29, Sarath three for 33) lost to Classic CC 149 for eight in 28. 4 overs (Naidu 36 n.o., Sarath Kumar 26 n.o., Surendra three for 29).

Robin CC 167 in 26.5 overs (B. Seshu 38, P. Varun 33, Venkatesh three for 24) lost to Good Friends CC 169 for three in 25.4 overs (Hari 64 n.o., Raju 49).
