Corrections and clarifications

A sentence in the ninth paragraph of an article “Remembering a glorious rebel” (Editorial page, December 24, 2008) was “He washed the feet of his disciples, he defined godist superstition.” It should have been “defied”.

The Mumbai serial bombings were in 1993. An article “Defensive measures alone won’t suffice” (Editorial page, December 20, 2008) had it as 2003.

It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible. Please specify the edition (place of publication), date and page.
